In my second book, Glowing with Confidence, I wanted to shine a light on bullying through the story of a young girl who faces a bully and finds her inner strength. It’s a reminder that courage and confidence can grow even in the toughest moments. My wish is that you read my second book and that your little ones will always be Glowing with Confidence.
Sometimes it’s difficult to talk about bullying. It’s a painful but real issue that impacts many of our little ones. These experiences matter, and so do our conversations about them.
Below are some sweet crumbs to pass along to your little ones:
Encourage Open Communication:
Create an environment where your child feels safe discussing their daily experiences. Regularly ask about their day—friendships, classes, teachers—and any concerns they might have. This ongoing dialogue can help identify issues early and reinforce that they can always come to you or a trusted adult for support.
Teach Assertiveness:
Help your child practice assertive responses to bullying, such as saying, “Please stop, I don’t like that,” in a calm and firm voice. Role-playing different scenarios can build their confidence in handling real-life situations.
Promote Social Connections:
Encourage your child to join group activities—sports, clubs of interest, or fun support groups—to build friendships. Having strong friendships or a network can help deter bullies and provide emotional support.
Involve Educators and Caregivers:
Maintain open communication with teachers, daycare providers, and other guardians. Share any concerns and discuss strategies to address bullying. Consistent adult intervention is crucial in preventing and stopping bullying behaviors.
A warm thank you for your support and for visiting today. You can find my books on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Reader House, Google Play, and iTunes. May your loved ones always be Glowing with Confidence!
Stay loving, kind, joyful, and courageous!
